F Train to York Street. When exciting the station turn right on Jay Street, make a left onto Front Street and walk three blocks, under the Manhattan bridge until you get to Washington Street. A/C Train to High Street. When exciting the station take the Cadman Plaza West/ Henry Street Exit. Next, cross Cadman Plaza West and walk through the park, keep left, under the BQE and continue downhill on Washington Street about three blocks. |

| Description: | PCDC transitions from performance and outreach to providing dance artists with performance opportunities. At the 1st Annual Perceptions Contemporary Dance Festival emerging and established choreographers will perform with state of the art production values at the Manhattan Movement and Arts Center. The event takes place on Saturday September 18th at 8 pm for one night only. Wine and cheese follow the performance to encourage networking and future project development.
Derived from PCDC Artistic Director Melissa Gendreau’s desire to provide choreographers near and far with the same opportunities she experienced at the beginning of her career, the festival’s goals are nothing short of lofty. “We at PCDC feel this festival is going to expand and become something that people mark their calendars for well in advance,. We hope to bring in more supporters to truly make this festival about sharing and community growth.” Gendreau is living proof that lofty can quickly transmute into reality. In three years PCDC has grown from Boston to NY receiving glowing reviews, hosting massive auditions, and recently headlining their own show at Teatro LA TEA Theater in Manhattan to a full house.
