Brooklyn-based Indie band Comandante Zero–composed of Ken White and Dan Freeman–is offering music goers “a new course for electro-funk-dance.” If you live in Williamsburg, then you might be familiar with this duo’s tracks, such as “The Future” or “Give It Up,” which is on their first E.P., “Slouching Towards Babylon Part I.” They have teamed up with Chic keyboardist Russell Graham, David Siskovic, Bob Power, among many more, adding to Comandante Zero’s rhythm of “build[ing] all of our songs from the bottom up….play it continuously for enormous time spans – and in that space, the song will emerge.”

Now working on, “Slouching Towards Babylon Part II”–the follow-up E.P. to Part I–Comandante Zero is keeping up with their growing momentum in music scene. Want to see this duo group live? They will be performing on Friday, January 27 at Blue House Monday at 10 pm, a show you won’t want to miss. Listen to their first single from their E.P., “Russian Disco (C0m1x 2011),” below.
