Biography

iliana quander (amparo3) is an independent women’s clothing designer based in New York.  She produces mostly one-of-a-kind, custom and short run clothes for women and on occasion wholesales to specialty boutiques both in New York and in the midwest region.  She shows regularly in the NYC area. Past shows include: Fashion Week Brooklyn  (FW2012, SS2013 & FW 2013 and FW 2014)  NAFI/Youthlink benefit gala at the Roosevelt Hotel, EcoFashion at Highbridge Park, Art for Progress’ Clash of the Artist’s (2011), Sohung Designs and Collective Fashion Show (2011), “The Drop” art show in Chelsea (2010) and Fountain Art Fair 2012.

She is past winner (First Place in fashion, 2009) and current member of Art for Progress (501C3) and also the SMARTER* Clothing Project (along with Trudy Miller and Bridgett Artise) which is an initiative that seeks to educate the public as well as designers on sustainability in fashion
