Wearable Art: Comedian Gina Brillon Shares Fave FluffyShop.com Finds
Gina Brillon is incredibly funny. Since jumping on the comedy scene at age 17, the Bronx native made appearances on Comedy Central’s “Live At The Gotham,” ABC’s “The View,” E!’s “Chelsea Lately” and comedian Gabriel Iglesias’ theatrical release, “The Fluffy Movie.” She’s also the first (and only) Latina winner of NBC’s “Stand Up for Diversity Showcase.” Discover more about her at GinaBrillon.com
And, if you are in the Denver-area, Brillon will be performing at Denver Improv from March 19 to March 22, 2015. She’ll be doing a college tour in April, and then performing in San Antonio, Texas from May 27 to May 31, 2015!

Red Shoes
I have a pair of red BCBG shoes that I wore for my first hour-long comedy special [“Pacifically Speaking”] that are literally the perfect shade of red. They go with so many different dresses, I fell in love with them the minute I saw them.
I knew they were going to be a hit, and everybody loves them when I wear them. They are super sexy, in a ‘not-over-doing-it kind of red.’ I’d say the color is more like an orange red. I love them. I would wear them with every outfit if I could. It’s not a chunky heel, it’s more slender—sort of like a stiletto, but a little asymmetrical in the design. The outside of the foot is covered and the inside has a dip where it shows a little more of the arch of your foot.
It’s a nice, sexy-looking shoe, not at all skanky. They just ooze sexy confidence—and that what I feel when wear them. You put them on and people will go “damn,” immediate compliments guaranteed. I found them at the Palisades Mall, on the day of my show. As soon as I walked into DSW, I saw them. They were calling me down the aisle, with beautiful angelic music coming from that section [of the store]. It was obviously divine intervention for me to find these shoes because they are just heaven sent.
“Fluffy” Beany
This beany is a new addition to the Gina Brillon wardrobe, and it’s from FluffyShop.com. That’s right—[comedian] Gabriel Iglesias’ website.
I work closely with Gabriel. We’re good friends, and I went to the opening of his merchandising warehouse, and he gave me a few things, two of which are on this list. The beany has his logo, which is a silhouette [of Iglesias] on stage, holding a microphone. I love this beany! My brother Steven (pictured above) has one too.
It is so comfortable, and so warm. I put it on, and I feel like a little kid—I feel so adorable when I wear it. You can see me wearing it in many Instagram shots. I wear it to the gym all the time. I’ve always loved hats, but not necessarily beanies until this one. I want one in every color—it’s just one of my absolute favorites.
“Fluffy” Zip-Up Hoodie
I have this in black with a white zipper and Fluffy logo, and I literally wear this hoodie everyday. I wear it everyday not only because it’s a super-cool hoodie, but also because there are headphones built into it!
It’s the most amazing thing—there’s a little cable so you can plug in your phone, and the way it’s designed is such that you can’t even tell that you’re wearing headphones. You can even wash it, and headphone will be fine! It’s amazing, comfortable, and whenever I need headphones, I have them in my hoodie, so it works out perfectly.
